Construction Site Manager

Birmingham / 20 week contract with the possibility of extension / Competitive salary, commensurate with experience / Immediate start

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee a high-end office / showroom build in Birmingham. The Site Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations on site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. The successful candidate will work closely with contractors, subcontractors, quantity surveyors and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution while maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire construction process on site, from initial planning through to project completion.

• Ensure daily logs are completed every day.

• Coordinate and manage site staff and suppliers.

• Monitor project progress and ensure that deadlines are met.

• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with building regulations and health and safety standards.

• Report on project status, budget, and any challenges or changes to senior management.

• Manage site documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and daily reports.

• Ensure a positive working environment and maintain strong relationships with client.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry.

• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, safety regulations, and building codes.

• Excellent leadership and organisational skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.

• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.

• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
